What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet, hands, and ears. When focusing on these specific areas, it can help your body relieve stress and anxiety, lift your overall mood, and improve your general well-being. It is a wonderful supplement to your wellness journey and the ultimate relaxation tool.

There are areas of the foot, hands, and ears that correspond to organs and systems of the body. Unlike Acupuncture and other practices, Reflexology is not meant to be exact, we make sure we work thoroughly all the regions in the foot, hands, and ears to access all the reflexes in the body.

Because it is a non-invasive practice, you remain fully clothed!
Making it a great option to experience with friends.

Experience

Experiences during reflexology sessions vary from a feeling of pure bliss, to a general sense of relaxation and rest to a conscious awareness internally of the area of the body where the practitioner is working.

Many people experience a “lightness” or tingling in the body, as well as feelings of warmth, a sense of “opening,” or “energy moving” from the practitioner’s pressure to the specific body area or organ. There is often a physical perception of energy flowing through every organ, valve, gland, or muscle, as well as a sense of communication between each body system.

Other reactions during the session range from physical to emotional and may include:

  • Feeling light-headed

  • Coughing

  • Laughing

  • Crying

  • Sighing deeply (big release)

  • Overwhelming desire to sleep

  • Disappearance of some pains and discomfort

  • Loose, relaxed muscles

  • Thirst

  • Emotional Stability
